Soda Ash finds modifying usage in mineral flotation chemistry. It is the principal pH modifier used in plants treating Cu-Zn ore with precious metals.
It is widely used in the following processes:
- Flotation of partially oxidized ore, flotation of chalcopyrite with activated pyrite
- Bulk flotation of sulphides followed by sequential flotation of Cu/Au using xanthate and dithiophosphate as collector. Here soda ash is used as modifier
- Copper-zinc ores containing pyrrhotite – in the presence of soda ash, ammonium sulphate exhibits depressing effect.
Our soda ash dense is of unmatched purity, +98% and its addition will add virtually no unwanted components to your process. It can also be used for pH correction in water treatment facilities as well form part of the fluxing mix in gold smelting or secondary lead refining.
